Korean Face Scrub

Exfoliating your face is simple, but there are a few key steps to follow to avoid damaging your skin. Start by cleansing your face witha gentle cleanser, then apply a small amount of your Korean facial scrub to clean, dry skin (or slightly damp, depending on the product). Gently massage in circular motions for 30 seconds to 1 minute, without rubbing too hard, then rinse with warm water. Remember to moisturize immediately afterward.

The secret? Take it easy. The goal isn't to "scrub to strip," but to help the skin gently renew itself. A good Korean facial scrub is like a caress (with visible results!).

It depends on the type of scrub used. If it is amechanical scrubbing (grain), massage gently and rinse immediately after 30 seconds to 1 minute. If it is achemical or enzymatic exfoliation, like a Korean gel peel, it is often recommended to leave on between1 and 3 minutes, the time for the enzymes or acids to take effect without irritating.

Always read the product instructions, and if you are a beginner, it is better to leave it on for a shorter time the first time to test your skin's tolerance.

Apply the scrub after cleansing your skin. Take a small amount of product, then massage in circular motions, from the center of your face outward, without applying pressure. Avoid the eye and lip areas as these are very sensitive.

If it's a Korean peel, leave it on for a few minutes without massaging, then rinse gently with lukewarm water. Remember to always moisturize well afterward, with a suitable cream or face mask.

The right time? Preferably in the evening, to give your skin time to regenerate overnight. Right after double cleansing, before applying your skincare. If you want to follow with aface mask, it's even better: your skin will be more receptive to the active ingredients.

Avoid exfoliating just before sun exposure or an important event: even gentle exfoliants can temporarily sensitize the skin. And if you do use a chemical exfoliant, never forget to applya sunscreenthe day after.

It all depends on your skin type:

• Oily skin with imperfections: 2 times a week maximum.
• Normal to combination skin: 1 to 2 times per week.
• Dry or sensitive skin: once a week is enough.

A common mistake is overdoing it. Exfoliating too much can weaken your skin barrier and cause the opposite effect: redness, pimples, and dehydration. The key? Gentleness.
